- A primer is CRUCIAL to wear under your foundation, especially if you have oily skin. I recommend this primer and even though it is a little pricey, it comes with a great amount of product and works incredibly to keep my face looking smooth and matte. Laura Geller Mattifying Primer-$32.00
- Oil Blotting sheets are awesome. Instead of packing on powder through out the day and essentially clogging your pores which can lead to breakouts, these are just a little pocket size sheets of paper you pat on your face to get rid of excess oil, without removing any makeup! Super affordable life savers. Oil Blotting Sheets- $1.00-$5.00
- A lot of people assume that because they have oily skin, it means they should not use moisturizers or face oils. THAT IS FALSE. Your skin will actually naturally produce more oils (causing breakouts and even oilier skin) if you do not moisturize it properly. It is a must to hydrate your skin even if you just do it before bed. I recommend investing in a good face serum or face oil. Do you research, or even go into Ulta or Sephora and ask a worker what they recommend according to your price range. Tarte Maracuja Oil $15.00-$36.00.
- My last tip for you guys is to invest in a settings spray specifically designed for oily skin. What a setting spray does is essentially locks your makeup into place to ensure long lasting wear throughout the day. Just 2-3 squirts and you are good to go! Urban Decay De-Slick Setting Spray $15.00-$31.00
After using these products for a few months now I have noticed a huge difference in my confidence. I used to worry all day about looking gross and basically feeling like a french fry. Now I do not have to worry and feel a lot more comfortable going out for long periods of time, and it feels amazing to finally have acceptance and control over something I can not change.
